Dr Mary Julia Wade (3 February 1928 — 14 September 2005) was an Australian paleontologist, perhaps best known for her work on the late Precambrian Ediacaran biota in South Australia.
Mary was a graduate of the University of Adelaide (BSc Honours 1954, PhD 1959), South Australia, where she was employed up until 1971. Between 1971 — 1993 she worked for the Queensland Museum, becoming Deputy Director in 1980. She became an Honorary Research Associate of the Queensland Museum after retiring in 1993.
